Liberal – but no longer in any political party, lost too many friends in 1988 merger civil war. I don’t believe the Liberal Party or the Liberal Democrats have a monopoly on liberalism. Reg Wills (Teignbridge Liberal candidate 2005) speech in favour of the Iraq war proved the point for me.

Welcome to the forum. :) The merger battle was obviously a very traumatic experience for many Liberals, even though to those of us who joined recently it seems remote. I'm sorry it cost you friends.
